Carpet Seam Repair in Weston

An open seam starts as a thin line and ends up as a frayed gap. We repair split and separating carpet seams for Weston homeowners in the Ridges, Sector 3 communities near the Everglades and across the city, and restretch the carpet when that's what caused the seam to fail.

Signs your Weston carpet needs carpet seam repair

A visible line, a gap you can see the pad through, or a ridge where two pieces of carpet meet are all signs of a seam failing. Left alone, the edges fray and the gap widens.

In newer Weston homes, a seam that opens in the first few years usually wasn't bonded well at install. Large upstairs rooms in Weston homes often need more than one piece of carpet, and those seams take a lot of traffic. Seam repair usually takes one visit, which fits most Weston community contractor rules.

How we do it

Seam repair starts with finding why the seam opened. If the carpet is loose, we restretch first. Then we rebond the seam, trim any frayed edges and make sure the pile on both sides lines up.

Weston homes and carpet

Weston is a master-planned city at the edge of the Everglades, with gated communities like Savanna, Windmill Ranch, Weston Hills and the Ridges, plus the older Bonaventure neighborhoods next door. Homes are generally newer, larger and HOA-managed, with plenty of carpeted bedrooms, lofts and staircases.

Weston homes are often two-story, with carpeted stairs and upstairs bedrooms over a tiled first floor. Builder-grade carpet from the original construction is now aging in many homes, and stair noses and seams are usually the first to go.

Local tip: Weston gated communities need your contractor on the gate list. Add us before appointment day so we arrive on time.

Common questions

Do I need stretching too?

Sometimes. If the carpet around the seam is loose, we stretch it first so the new seam holds.

Can you fix a seam in a doorway?

Yes. Doorway seams and carpet-to-floor transitions are both repairs we handle.
