Signs your Davie carpet needs water damaged carpet repair

After a leak, AC overflow or storm flooding, carpet is often pulled back so the floor underneath can dry. When the water is gone, the carpet still needs to go back down properly, often with new pad and tack strip, or it will ripple and pull loose.

Older Davie homes with aging plumbing and AC lines are where we see the most leak-related carpet work. Heavy rain on big rural lots in Davie can push water in under doors, wetting carpet near entrances. For Davie rentals, re-installing carpet after a leak is often faster than replacing it between tenants.

How we do it

After the drying is done, we come in to put the room back together. That means new tack strip where needed, new pad, and the carpet re-installed and power-stretched so it lies flat.

Davie homes and carpet

Davie is a town with two personalities: western-style ranch properties and horse country on one side, and busy suburban neighborhoods and student housing around Nova Southeastern University and the Broward College central campus on the other. Carpet repair here might mean a family room in Shenandoah, a bedroom in a rental near campus, or a ranch house in Long Lake Ranches.

Davie homes range from older ranch-style houses on large lots to gated communities like Long Lake Ranches and Forest Ridge. Rental homes and apartments near the universities turn over often, and move-outs are when we see torn carpet, burns and pet damage.

Local tip: Landlords near the Davie campuses can often save the carpet between tenants with patches and a restretch instead of a full replacement. Call before you book the flooring installer.

Common questions

Will my carpet ripple after it dries?

Wet carpet often loosens, which is why we power-stretch it during re-installation.

Can wet carpet be saved?

Often the carpet itself can be re-installed once dry, while the pad and tack strip are replaced. We'll look at it on site.
