Stair Carpet Repair in Lake Park
Loose or worn stair carpet is a safety problem, not just a looks problem. We repair stair carpet in Lake Park homes and townhomes, from the streets around Park Avenue to the historic blocks of the original Kelsey City plan, by re-securing treads, tightening noses and patching damaged steps.

Signs your Lake Park carpet needs stair carpet repair
Stair carpet takes a different kind of wear than a bedroom floor. Every step pushes down and forward on the nose, so the carpet slowly loosens, the pad compresses and the fibers on the edge wear thin.
For Lake Park rental properties, safe stairs matter for tenants. Loose treads should be fixed right away. Pets running up and down Lake Park staircases wear the carpet on the noses and claw the bottom steps. Sand tracked in from the beach acts like sandpaper on Lake Park stair treads.
How we do it
We work from the top of the staircase down, re-securing carpet on every tread and riser, tightening it around each nose and repairing worn or damaged steps. Landings and the transitions at both ends are finished last.
Lake Park homes and carpet
Lake Park was founded in the 1920s as Kelsey City, an early planned and zoned town laid out by the Olmsted Brothers, and took its current name in 1939. Today it's a small town of older homes and apartments, a downtown along Park Avenue, and the Lake Park Harbor Marina on the Intracoastal.
Many Lake Park homes are older single-family houses and small apartment buildings, often with carpet in bedrooms over original floors. Rentals are common, and tack strip in an older house may need replacing before carpet will hold a stretch.
Local tip: Landlords can save money by repairing worn but solid carpet between tenants. Book the repair before new tenants move furniture in.
