Signs your Lake Worth Beach carpet needs water damaged carpet repair

Florida homes deal with water in a lot of ways, including roof leaks, AC drain overflows, washing machine hoses and storm water. Once the source is fixed and the area is dried out, the carpet needs to be properly re-installed.

Storms and rising water near the coast mean Lake Worth Beach homes sometimes need carpet re-installed after flooding. Older Lake Worth Beach homes with aging plumbing and AC lines are where we see the most leak-related carpet work. For Lake Worth Beach rentals, re-installing carpet after a leak is often faster than replacing it between tenants.

How we do it

Our site lists flood damage service as re-installing carpet, pad and tack strip. Once the area is dry, we replace damaged pad and tack strip, lay the carpet back down and power-stretch it so it's tight again.

Lake Worth Beach homes and carpet

Lake Worth Beach, incorporated in 1913 and renamed from Lake Worth in 2019, is known for its walkable downtown on Lake and Lucerne Avenues, its beach casino and pier, and historic neighborhoods like College Park, Parrot Cove and Bryant Park filled with 1920s cottages and bungalows.

Many Lake Worth Beach homes are small wood-frame and block cottages, often with wood floors under carpet that was added later. Older houses and plenty of rentals mean we see a lot of carpet that has worked loose from tired tack strip.

Local tip: Before you pull up carpet in an older Lake Worth Beach cottage to see what's underneath, call us. We can lift and re-lay it without damaging the floor below.

Will my carpet ripple after it dries?

Wet carpet often loosens, which is why we power-stretch it during re-installation.
