Signs your Wellington carpet needs stair carpet repair

Because stair carpet wraps around each step, any looseness shows up fast as a bulge on a tread or a gap under the nose. Catching it early keeps a small repair from turning into a full stair replacement.

Grit tracked in from outdoors wears down stair treads fast in Wellington homes, so the noses go first. Two-story homes are common in Wellington, and stair carpet is one of our most frequent repairs here. Stair repairs are a contained job that's easy to schedule in Wellington communities.

How we do it

Stair repair focuses on safety first. Anything loose gets tightened and re-fastened, then worn or damaged treads are patched when matching carpet is available.

Wellington homes and carpet

Wellington, incorporated as a village in 1995, is best known as a world center for equestrian sport. The Winter Equestrian Festival and the polo season bring riders from around the world, and the village includes horse farms in the Equestrian Preserve, Palm Beach Polo, family neighborhoods like Olympia, and the Mall at Wellington Green.

Wellington homes range from horse-farm estates to two-story family houses in HOA communities, with carpet in bedrooms, media rooms and on stairs. Barn grit, dogs and seasonal owners all add up to carpet that needs regular repair.

Local tip: During the winter show season, many Wellington homes are rented by riders and their teams. Schedule carpet repairs before the season starts or right after it ends.
