Signs your Tequesta carpet needs carpet patching

No carpet patch is too big or too small for us. Whether it's a coffee stain that won't come out, a torn spot from moving day or a hole where furniture once sat, a precision patch replaces just the damaged section instead of the whole room.

In Tequesta homes near the beach, carpet near sliding doors sees sun and sand, so a patch may look slightly different until it wears in. If you're only in Tequesta part of the year, we can schedule your patch around your arrival. In Tequesta condos, the closet usually has carpet that matches the bedroom, which makes for a clean transplant patch.

How we do it

We look for the best source of matching carpet first: your saved remnant, a closet, or a spot under a large piece of furniture that never moves. The damaged area and the patch are cut to match, the pile is aligned, and the patch is secured so it sits flush.

Tequesta homes and carpet

Tequesta is the northernmost municipality in Palm Beach County, a village incorporated in 1957 along the forks of the Loxahatchee River. It's a quiet community of single-family homes and condos along the Loxahatchee River and the Intracoastal.

Many Tequesta homes are 1960s through 1980s houses on or near the water, with carpet in bedrooms and family rooms. Riverfront humidity and wet feet from boating take a toll on carpet near the back doors.

Local tip: In a riverfront home, run the AC or a dehumidifier steadily in carpeted rooms. Lower humidity helps a fresh restretch stay tight longer.
