Signs your Boca Raton carpet needs carpet transition and doorway repair

An unfinished or failing transition is easy to spot: the carpet edge is frayed, the backing shows, the edge lifts when you walk over it, or there's a gap between the carpet and the hard floor.

If you're remodeling your Boca Raton home over the off-season, schedule the carpet edges after the new floors go in. Remodels in Boca Raton communities often follow HOA rules, so we schedule transition work around your contractor. In Boca Raton's two-story homes, transitions at the top and bottom of the stairs get heavy wear.

How we do it

Our technicians handle carpet-to-floor transitions for remodels, new hard flooring and built-in furniture. We re-secure the carpet edge, finish it to the height of the new floor and make sure it won't catch a foot or a door.

Boca Raton homes and carpet

Boca Raton is the southernmost city in Palm Beach County and its second-largest. Addison Mizner's 1920s Mediterranean Revival style still shapes the city, from the Boca Raton resort to Mizner Park, and the main campus of Florida Atlantic University and the Town Center at Boca Raton mall anchor its west side.

Boca Raton has every kind of home, from oceanfront condos on A1A to golf and country club communities and older ranch houses in neighborhoods like Boca Square. Carpet usually covers bedrooms, stairs and media rooms, and many owners spend part of the year elsewhere.

Local tip: Most Boca Raton country club communities and condo buildings have gate lists and contractor hours. Add us to the gate list and tell us your building's rules when you book, so we can get straight to work.

Tile, wood, laminate, vinyl plank and stone are all common. We finish the carpet edge to match.

Usually not. We can trim, restretch and re-finish the edge, or patch it right at the transition.
